Implementation Methodology

ERP Packaged Solutions - Implementation Methodology

RJ WinSys shall utilize its SEED (Strategy for ERP Enterprise Deployment) Methodology for implementation of ERP Applications to ensure completion on time and with in budget. The methodology is based on our best practices and experience of ERP Applications implementations.

RJ WinSys has tailored its SEED methodology to suit the Client’s requirements and the following sections describe the same.

The Implementation Methodology for CLIENT incorporates the following Core Phases:

  Planning Phase

  1. Definition Phase
  2. Analysis Phase
  3. Solution Design Phase
  4. Build and Test Phase
  5. Transition Phase
  6. Deploy and stabilization Phase







The Program Management Planning Process 
Consolidation model
As the CLIENT proposal involves multiple projects of varied products, technologies and solutions, RJ WINSYS proposes to have a Program Management Model in place for a better management of companies executing many simultaneous projects each of which leads towards the organization’s strategic objectives.

Each of the Implementation phases are described in detail below:

1. Planning Phase
Objective
The key objectives of this phase are to establish Program Panning Guides, Overall Work plans and Presentation, besides setting up the Project Steering Committee (PSC), PSC Members, PSC meetings, Its frequency, Agenda, proposed venues and desired goals to be achieved etc., along with setting up Communication Channels and Executive implementation strategy, defining High level Program Goals and Objectives.

2. Definition Phase
Objective
The key objectives of this phase are to initiate the project and define the project activities in detail.

3. Analysis Phase

Objective

The key objective of this phase is to analyze and understand the requirements before finalizing the solution design. As CLIENT is aiming at three different functionalities viz., Executive, Technical and Support, RJ WINSYS here proposes to have separate analysis phase for each of these functions and the following methodology describes for the Executive functionalities.

4. Solution Design Phase
Objective

The key objectives of this phase are to design the overall activities for functional, technical, interfaces, testing, training and conversion, followed by UAT and Go-Live apart from post implementation support.

5. Build and Test Phase
Objective
The key objectives of this phase are to build process solutions, in the form of Functional Set ups, Technical Customizations, Data Conversions from legacy into the new applications and Interface Customizations by matching the overall application features directly with the business requirements and then test the output in a System Integrated Environment, followed by User Acceptance.

6. Transition Phase
Objective
The key objectives of this phase are to successfully execute the transition of knowledge and responsibility transfers (KT & RT) from the implementation team to the User Champions or Super Users at CLIENT  and set the Production environment for rollout.

7. Deploy and Stabilization Phase
Objective
The key objectives of this phase are to pilot and rollout to production the entire project. In the deployment phase, environment from implementation lab are migrated to customer site. First a back up of the complete environment, database and the file server are taken before the migration of implementation environment. The implementation environment is then migrated and validated.
The end users are trained by developing a training database and the by preparing the instructors for training. The end users are trained and proficiency of the users established.

Post Implementation Engagement Strategy
RJ Winsys is proposing application support services to CLIENT post implementation and on going live with the production system.  This support will start from the 30-day support provided as part of the implementation.

The Steady State phase will commence at the end of the implementation (Go Live) sign off. In steady state phase onsite & offshore teams i.e. the offshore PM and delivery teams will assume the responsibility for the maintenance and support o the production system and cater to the customization requirements as specified and within the service request frame wok.
